Revenue sources include affiliate programs (loan and credit-card referral networks, Amazon Associates, ShareASale, CJ), display advertising, and occasionally sponsored content — which is always clearly labeled as sponsored and never included in our scoring.

3. How We Research
We read actual loan agreements and fee schedules → check state lending rules and rate caps → compare published rate ranges across lenders → interview former loan officers and nonprofit counselors → publish one clear verdict. A recommendation can earn us a commission, but never a better score.

Nothing on this site is an offer to lend, a pre-approval, a quote, or financial advice, and we are not licensed to lend or broker. Approval, rates, APRs, fees, and terms depend on the lender, your credit profile, your income, your state, and the date. Figures shown are illustrative examples.
